Designed by the iconic Sri Lanka architect Geoffrey Bawa and now extensively redesigned and managed by Sri Lanka's lifestyle guru Shanth Fernando it is a complete treat to the senses. There are 15 individually designed rooms and suites scattered around the property, all modern amenities and great services. The food is particularly good. A narrow-gauge railway runs at the bottom of the garden - fortunately most people find it adds to the charm of the hotel rather than being a disturbance. We think it makes an excellent choice for honeymooners or romantics.
