Tok Tokkie is a very special walking safari through the Namib desert that has been honed over that last 20 years. Accommodating from 2 to 6 guests, the experience starts at Tok Tokkie Farmhouse, 5 hours southwest of Windhoek, before embarking on a 2-night trail following a circular route rambling through the private NamibRand Nature Reserve and its stunning dunes, rocky hills and grassy plains. Bags will be carried for you and you will just carry a day pack, and at night, you will experience some of the most incredible glamping in Namibia under a giddying canopy of stars, with 3 course meals, a roaring camp fire, wash basins and hot water all provided. A medium level of fitness is required – the first day will entail a couple of hours walk; the second day there will be 5-6 hours and on the final day a short walk back to the farmhouse. There will be plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery and enjoy picnic lunches and guests will gain great insight from the expert guides about the unique animals, flora, fauna and geology of the area.
