The Plettenberg – situated on a rocky headland in one of South Africa's most spectacular beach towns – is a perfect retreat. Owned by hotelier Liz McGrath, this 35-room luxurious hotel offers privacy and elegance. No detail is overlooked and each room is filled with lavish touches. We love the serene Beach House with its cool hues and natural materials.

A cornucopia of crustaceans is served at the aptly named SeaFood at The Plettenberg. Feast on the local marine bounty and the choicest seasonal ingredients along with sundowners at the buzzing Sandbar.
