The Hotel at Tharabar Gate
Bagan

Nestled amongst the temple complex of Old Bagan, opposite the beautiful and iconic Ananda Temple, the Hotel at Tharabar Gate is a charming property with the feel of a resort. The 86 rooms and suites are located in mature bamboo gardens with a very pleasant and refreshing swimming pool. The Superior and Deluxe rooms are all the same size and are decorated with local fabrics and hard wood, and many rooms have paintings inspired by designs from the nearby temples, as well as views of the temples from the balconies. The pool area is surrounded by multi-coloured bougainvillea flowers and traditional red Burmese (Myanmarese) parasols, and the bar and restaurant serve a good variety of Western and Asian dishes. The hotel is within walking distance of some temples in Old Bagan and local restaurants. Wifi is available.
