Banyan Tree Yangshuo
Yangshuo
One of Banyan Tree’s newest properties, the hotel opened in 2014 and has a fresh and modern feel – although modelled on a traditional Chinese village surrounded by Yangshuo’s famous limestone peaks. Very much a resort, this is definitely the best property in the area (for now) and provides all luxury comforts despite feeling larger than it is at 142 rooms. A riverside outdoor pool provides scenic views over the Li River and the resort puts on a complimentary boat ride for all guests. However, this is not private and does not venture into the most famous beautiful parts of the river. An excellent spa, several dining options and daily activities mean that there is plenty to do in addition to the area’s sightseeing. Rooms are our favourite aspect of the resort, well designed in a clean contemporary style, guests will love the large beds and standalone bathtubs, as well as generous outdoor space. Our favourite categories are Mountain View Suites and River View Villas. However, please note that this resort is located out of the town itself – meaning that independent sightseeing is more difficult.
