The views of the bay and mountains are spectacular from this resort set 150 feet above Jimbaran Bay. The grounds have walking paths and sitting areas for meditation. Built into the terraced hillside, thatched-roof private villas have plunge pools and sundecks. Each 'guest room' is a free-standing, thatched-roof villa nestled into the hillside overlooking Jimbaran Bay. Large and inviting, the Two-Bedroom Villas measure 370 square metres, including two spacious sundecks and an exceptionally large plunge pool. The sound of the sea, the chirruping frogs and the distinctive calls of the geckos will lull you to sleep at night and its location makes it a great way to begin or end a stay in Bali. You can take a short stroll along the shore to find bustling fish markets and local beachside restaurants or learn to cook with island spices at the resort.

To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.
