The Maharaja's Express offers one of the most elegant and luxurious train experiences in India, with comfortable accommodation and facilities, delicious food and impeccable service. The 'Princely India' journey takes you from imperial Delhi on to Agra - the home of the majestic Taj Mahal - and Ranthambore National Park. It then travels into Rajasthan, visiting the desert town of Bikaner, Jodhpur and Udaipur, before making a stop in Vadodara and arriving into the vibrant and bustling city of Mumbai. Itinerary Details

Day 1 - In Transit

In transit

Day 2 - The Imperial Hotel - Delhi

Transfer to your hotel for check in before visiting the sights of Old Delhi such as Chandi Chowk, Jama Masjid mosque and Humayan's Tomb.

Day 3 - Maharajas' Express - Delhi

Spend the morning at leisure or take a drive through New Delhi. You will board the Maharajas' Express at around 8.30 and enjoy a welcome drink.

Day 4 - Maharajas' Express - Agra

Arrive into Agra and visit Itmad-ud-Daulah, Agra Fort, the Taj Mahal and Taj Khema.

Day 5 - Maharajas' Express - Jaipur

Early morning game drive at Ranthambore National Park before continuing on to Jaipur. Visit Amber Fort, do some shopping, and watch an elephant polo match.

Day 6 - Maharajas' Express - Bikaner

Visit Lalgarh Palace Museum or the infamous Karni Mata (Rat) Temple and Junagarh Fort before a sundowner in the sand dunes with cocktails and traditional music.

Day 7 - Maharajas' Express - Jodhpur

Look around Old Clock Tower Market before visiting Meherangarh Fort, where you will experience a Royal cocktail evening.

Day 8 - Maharajas' Express - Udaipur

Visit City Palace, Durbar Hall and the Old Market.

Day 9 - Maharajas' Express - Vadodara

Visit Champaner-Pavagadh and Jami Masjid before visiting the royal village of Jambhughoda. Later visit Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum before dinner at Laxmi Vilas Palace.
