Kandalama | Sigiriya | Kandy | Negombo | Male
This fabulous tour allows a mix of culture and sheer bliss. On arrival in Sri Lanka visit the historical cultural triangle where you can climb the famous Sigiriya Rock. Also known as 'Lion's Rock', here the old fort was built by King Kashyapa (AD 477 - 495), and later used as a Buddhist monastery until 14th century. Continue onto the Dambulla Caves Temples, where the Buddha statues and cave paintings are mesmerizing. Travelling furtherer south into Kandy stroll through the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and explore the Temple of the Tooth where you can gain an insight to Sri Lanka's Buddhist history. A walk around Kandy and visiting the market is also a fun experience before travelling to Negombo for your final night in Sri Lanka. For the final part of the tour, a short flight over to the Maldives is followed by six nights of relaxation and indulgence. Wade in the shallow shores of the Maldivian islands, laze on white beaches and snorkel in crystal-clear waters. A perfect end to the tour before returning home.
