Taj, Temples and Tigers
12 days from £2485 per person
Delhi | Agra | Khajuraho | Bandhavgarh National Park | Kanha National Park | Delhi
An exhilarating tour for keen wildlife spotters covering two of India’s most renowned national parks: Bandhavgarh and Kanha. But before the wildlife gets started we’ll take you to see the Taj Mahal and some of Indian’s most beautiful temple architecture in Khajuraho; essential destinations for any jaunt in India. Both national parks have their own unique character with the natural rock fortress at the heart of Bandhavgarh and Kanha's rolling landscape. The tour allows time for at least five game drives in each park, so different areas of each can be explored. Whilst this is no guarantee that a tiger will be sighted, we’d be surprised if you didn’t spot one! There will also be time to visit the surrounding villages allowing an insight into rural life in India and the complexities of humans and tigers living side by side. The hotels in the parks are small, have plenty of character and blend well into the natural surroundings whilst still offering a good level of service. This tour could easily be extended with time on the beach in Goa or at one of our favourite hotels, Ahilya just a flight and short drive away. This tour is purely a suggested itinerary. It can be booked as is or alternatively used as a starting point for creating your own ideal bespoke holiday to see India's Tigers.
