Ambalangoda
Located in Galle District, Ambalangoda is a small coastal town in southern Sri Lanka. The town is close to some wonderful beaches and is famous for their crafts which are carved from light woods such as Kaduru. The masks and puppets made in Ambalangoda are carefully hand made and painted. You can see these crafts being used in traditional dance shows in the town as well as on display at the Mask Museum.
