Bardia
Located in the terai, the sub-tropical region of Nepal which borders India and forms part of the Gangetic Plain, Bardia National Park and is a mixture of forest and grassland with the Babai River running through the centre of the park. Amongst the 30 species of mammal the park are tiger, rhino, elephant, crocodile and monkey besides 400 species of birds. It has a good reputation for wildlife spotting and is less commercialised that Chitwan.
