Hsipaw
If you are in Hsipaw, you would do the following. After an early breakfast, transfer to the station to take a local train on a scenic ride over the famous Goitek Viaduct which crosses a deep gorge. Disembark the train at Naung Pain Village and continue the drive onto Hsipaw. Enjoy the afternoon sightseeing in the town, visiting Bawgyo Pagoda and take in the panorama from the top of Theintaung hill.

This is our definitive Burma itinerary. As well as taking in all the major sites, this journey showcases all of Burma’s secret charms and really allows you to dig deeper: from the Malikha Lodge in the Himalayan north and the cool colonial hill station of Maymyo, to the Golden Rock in Kyaikhiyo (a popular religious pilgrimage site) and a few very relaxed days exploring the temples of Bagan.
