Kabini

Nestled between the forest reserves of Nagarhole and Bandipur, Kabini is reputed to have the highest density of wildlife in South India - including tiger, leopard, wild dog, sambar deer, sloth bears, spotted deer, as well as over 300 species of birds, many being endangered species. With over 4000 elephants in the area, it is a common sight to see hundreds gathered around the reservoir in the dry summer months.
