Located 30 kilometres east of Kathmandu, at an altitude of 2,175 metres, Nagarkot is a well known hill station famous for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west, all the way past Mt. Everest to Kanchenjungha in the east. Sunrise and sunset can be particularly breathtaking. It also offers some wonderful walks and treks in the surrounding hills and valleys.
