The area of Tingri (split into old and new Tingri - a 40 minute drive apart) is a photogenic spot overlooking a sweeping plain bordered by towering Himalayan peaks. Close to Mount Everest it is at a very high altitude - around 4,400m. You may visit Everest Base Camp for the day from here.
