Surrounded by rolling hills and shady rubber plantations, halfway between Cochin and Thekkady, this wonderful, fully-staffed 1920s estate house is a haven of tranquillity. Beautifully restored, it is finely decorated in keeping with its colonial past and there is little to disturb you except for the sounds of the surrounding nature. The hotel has a shady pool which is surrounded by papaya trees and pepper vines, as well as the resident elephant which creates a thoroughly tropical atmosphere. Paintings and ornaments collected by its owner over the years can be found throughout the house, and the dark timber and panelling in the property are exquisite. The warm terracotta and turquoise colours that dominate the interiors blend perfectly with the profusion of colonial furniture and with the local environment. There are 5 guestrooms, consisting of 3 double rooms and 2 twin rooms, each comes with an en-suite shower room.
