County Waterford

A county located on the south eastern coast of Ireland, County Waterford is the perfect place to visit for those looking for beaches, river valleys, lakes and mountains. Activities on offer include a wide range of water sports and fishing from some of the county’s 49 beaches, as well as golf, horse riding and cycling. For walking enthusiasts, the Knockmealdown and Comeragh Mountains provide a picturesque backdrop. The county’s capital city, Waterford City, was founded by Viking traders in the 10^th century and can boast being one of the country’s oldest settlements. As well as the medieval flavour of the city itself, you can visit Woodstown, a historic Viking village under 10 kilometres away.
