Linyanti Bush Camp
Linyanti and Selinda
Its remoteness, attention to detail and landscapes make Linyanti Bush Camp a little gem. It encapsulates the safari of old with its charm and tradition mingled with super comfy furnishings, bedding and superb food. Lindyanti Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh in a private reserve which borders the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave. The marshes are the only water source for miles around and attract water-adapted and desert-adapted wildlife, plus large numbers of birds. All of the 6 comfortable and spacious tents have private and en-suite bathrooms and are simply yet stylishly furnished.
Linyanti is best known for its large populations of elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers, especially during the dry season. Other wildlife encounters include lion, sable, roan, leopard, wild dog, the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile. The area also offers spectacular birding year-round. The area's relative remoteness makes it a favoured wild safari destination and one of the most sought after areas in Northern Botswana.
Safaris are in game drive in 4 x 4 vehicles both in the mornings and after high tea in the afternoons, and there is boating when water levels permit. Guided walks are led by qualified and passionate guides who share their knowledge and love of the bush with you. With the dry vegetation between May and October, walking safaris are a fantastic and exciting way to experience the area. What's more, guests who stay three nights or more from 1st April to 30th November are offered a complimentary 30-minute scenic helicopter flight.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
