A Classic Botswana Circuit – Wildlife & Waterways
7 days from £3,850 per person
Looking for an African wildlife adventure that won’t break the bank? Pack those khakis and binoculars and head off on a thrilling safari in the heart of the Okavango’s watery wonderland. Travel through the mesmerizing wetlands of the palm-fringed Okavango to the spectacular game-rich Moremi Reserve ending at the iconic Chobe Riverfront, home to a staggering 120,000 elephants. Your adventure begins in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango, where you will board your light aircraft and enjoy a quick hop over the Delta, spotting elephants and marveling at the landscape far beneath you. Home for the next 2 nights is the sumptuous Camp Moremi where you will be one of only 24 guests. Be prepared to be wonderstruck by the huge numbers of animals and birdlife you will encounter from your specially adapted land cruiser in the capable hands of your professional guide who will wow you with his encyclopedic knowledge of all things wild.
From Camp Moremi, fly over the Okavango to the elegant and serene Camp Okavango. This spot is very special camp and, like Camp Moremi, Camp Okavango is small (only 24 guests) and luxurious. The emphasis here is on savouring the magic of the large expanse of still waters, the gentle call of the fish eagle and the silent beauty of gliding through the myriad of waterways.
By now, expect to have fallen in love with this world-renowned beauty spot and be ready for the next adventure at Chobe Game Lodge. Another short flight takes you north into the vast Chobe National Park where you will be following in the footsteps of Elizabeth Taylor who considered this a location worthy of her marriage to Richard Burton. The last 2 nights and your grand finale at Chobe Game Lodge will be a fitting end to your holiday and will help redefine your concept of the perfect African safari.
