From Namibia to South Africa - Whales, Dunes, Shipwrecks & Wildlife

Take a spectacular coastal expedition beginning in Namibia at the greatest dunes on Earth in Sossusvlei and ending along the breathtaking Garden Route in South Africa. Your holiday starts with an overnight flight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg in South Africa where you will be met and taken to your connecting flight to Windhoek in Namibia.
From here, you will be met and transferred by road to Eros airport where you will enjoy a scenic flight directly to Sossusvlei Lodge. Enjoy a 2-night stay at Sossusvlei Desert Lodge where you will have an opportunity to see the jaw-dropping dunes at Sossusvlei including the aptly named ‘Big Daddy’. Other activities here include nature walks and safari drives where you can expect to be wowed by the spectacular landscapes and sunsets.
From Sossusvlei, another scenic flight will take you to the stark and mythical Skeleton Coast for a 2-night stay at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. Here you can expect to visit the proud and fascinating Himba tribe as well as go for nature walks and game drives with a chance to view the elusive gentle giants of the Kalahari – the Desert Elephants. Your Namibia expedition ends with a flight to the iconic and game-rich Etosha National Park, staying at the uber-bush-chic Mushara Outpost. A 2-night stay here ensures you will have plenty of time to explore the park, tracking one of the many rhino in the area.
The next half of your trip takes you to South Africa with a short aircraft flight back to Windhoek in time to connect with your flight to Cape Town. Here, you will be met by your private guide and driver and taken to the stylish and elegant Ellerman House for a 2-night stay. The bustling and vibrant City of Cape Town is full of fantastic things to do including a trip to the famous landmarks of Table Mountain or Robben Island.
Next on your journey, a 2-hour drive with your guide will take you to Hermanus. Here, you will stay at The Marine, a hotel known for its grandeur and fantastic position overlooking the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. From Hermanus, your guide will take you on a stunning 5-hour scenic drive along South Africa’s lush and exquisite Garden Route before arriving at your last destination, Plettenberg Bay. Your accommodation is at The Plettenberg, a hotel famed for its terrific hospitality, superb food and eye-popping views over the ocean. From Plettenberg, you will be driven to George airport to take a scheduled flight to Johannesburg in time to connect with your flight home.
