Coral Lodge
Ilha De Mozambique
Coral Lodge 15:41 is a magical place located in Northern Mozambique on the tip of a peninsula set between soft white sand dunes, an emerald lagoon and a verdant mangrove forest. Named after its geographical coordinates, it is just 10 minutes from Ilha de Moçambique, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Mozambique’s former capital. Owned by a Dutch couple, Alex and Bart Otto and designed by Dutchman Edward van Vliet, the lodge consists of 10 thatched circular villas set along a long sandy finger of beach. The style of the villas is modern and luxurious, European and African. It has wooden shutters, stone flooring, air-conditioning and excellent quality furnishings like the award winning Sea Breeze king size bed – accessorised with dashes of brightly coloured textures and complimented by the spacious traditional Mozambican structure (each about 100 square metres).
There is a spa, a gorgeous infinity pool and a lounge bar and restaurant called the Reef situated at the very tip of the peninsula serving up fresh seafood delights like fish tempura. Activities at Coral Lodge 15.41 include snorkelling, scuba diving, canoeing, windsurfing, fishing, sailing, whale watching, as well as fascinating city and village visits.
