Run by French management, Epako Game Lodge is a modern lodge which was completely refurbished in 2014, featuring contemporary styling and luxury mod-cons. It is located in a beautiful mountainous setting within 11,000 hectares of untamed Namibian bush on the outskirts of Damaraland and close to Omaruru.
Sleeping a total of 20 guests, the lodge has 10 rooms, including 6 Deluxe Rooms, a Junior Suite, a Loft Suite, a River Suite and a 200 sq m Waterhole Suite with separate shower, free standing bathtub, outdoor shower and an outdoor private lounge terrace. All rooms have air-conditioning, mini-bar, satellite television, mosquito nets, a tea/coffee station and garden or bush views from a private terrace.
Epako Lodge has a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating serving up French and Namibian cuisine with South African wines. The restaurant overlooks a floodlit waterhole where oryx, zebra, kudu, giraffe and rhino are frequent nightly visitors. There is also a bar / lounge with satellite television, a swimming pool and spacious gardens.
Guests can experience a wide variety of animals in their natural sanctuary on daily afternoon game drives as well as bush walks, or they can experience Cheetah’s up close in the lodge’s Cheetah rehabilitation boma. Other activities include visiting the wonderfully preserved San Bushman rock art within the reserve.
One of the gladdest moments in life is the departure upon a distant journey into unknown lands.
