Wolwedans Dune Camp
Sossusvlei
Wolwedans Dune Camp is the charming and more rustic little sister of neighbouring Wolwedans Dune Lodge, yet it still retains the Wolwedans’ hallmark of outstanding service, dining and authentic experience.
Positioned on the edge of a 250-metre high dune in the NamibRand Nature Reserve in southern Namibia, the Dune Camp sleeps just 12 guests in light and airy, classic style safari tents. Each of the tents are pitched on wooden platforms and are comfortable and spacious with private bathroom and a generous deck, perfect for sleep-outs under the stars.
The main tent houses a lounge, dining area and an open-plan kitchen where you can chat to the desert chef, while he prepares lavish meals. Enjoy a cold drink around the campfire on the sundowner deck, where fellow travellers can be met and stories of the day will make their rounds in true African tradition.
Activities available from the lodge include scenic desert drives, walking safaris or for something a little more special, there is hot-air ballooning on offer - a perfect way to take in the arid landscapes and distinctive dunes from the air.
