Kwandwe Private Game Reserve

Four award-winning lodges nestled in 22,000 hectares of pristine wilderness; Kwande Game Reserve offers the perfect safari experience. Families and small groups can enjoy an exclusive booking at two of the lodges, Uplands Homestead (gracious-expect damask linens, antique silver and porcelain) and Melton Manor (chic and relaxed). Both of these splendid choices come with a private 4x4 safari vehicle and dedicated ranger, chef and butler. The other two lodges, Great Fish River Lodge with its sweeping views and plunge-pools and penthouse-style Ecca Lodge offer contrasting but equally luxurious styles. Early morning walks here bring prime wildlife spotting - from warthogs to lions. Thoughtful touches include ‘winter warmer’ suits provided in the colder months.

Delicious African-inspired meals are served on private decks, in the candlelit dining room, or in the cosy boma under a magnificent starlit sky. Paradise found!

We have just returned back from a wonderful trip. Thank you very much for organising everything. The transfer was excellent – for once they had perfect car seats. The villa was lovely, just what we needed and the hotel had helpfully put us as far away as possible from everyone else. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen – and I am slightly obsessive over breakfast!! There was an incredible choice, something for everyone and so beautifully presented. Getting to Amanpulo from Manila was very simple and the beach was the most beautiful I’d ever been on; pristine white sand, not a single piece of rubbish in sight. You get your own solar powered golf buggy to drive around resort (and a butler at request). The views from the Hillside Casita were spectacular!
