If you love the old-school romance of train travel, there's no better place to head than India. With beautiful panoramas floating past and lavish carriages to relax in, it is a wonderful way to experience the nostalgia and glamour of a bygone era.
James thoroughly enjoyed his research trip aboard India's most luxurious train: the Maharajas' Express, which launched in spring 2010. Here are a few photo memories from his journey, which took him from Mumbai onwards to Vadodara, the lakeside city of Udaipur, the blue city of Jodhpur, the desert city of Bikaner, the pink city of Jaipur, Ranthambore Tiger sanctuary, Agra -- home of the Taj Mahal -- and Delhi.
