Known for our tailor-made experiences across Asia and the British Isles, Southern Africa is where it all began for Ampersand’s MD & Founder, James Jayasundera. Twenty-five years ago, and straight out of university, James headed for Namibia and became a member of the founding team that launched Wolwedans. The wildly beautiful landscapes of Namibia stole his heart from an impressionable age and steered his path into luxury, experiential travel – the type which leaves an indelible impression on the soul.

Today, James lives between London – Ampersand's HQ – and a farm in South Africa’s ravishing Cape Winelands, which is his second home and launch-pad into the region.
