Novotel Inle Lake
Spacious, contemporary in design, and with the sophisticated style of the Novotel brand, Novotel Inle Lake is a reliable choice. This is one of the largest hotels on Myanmar's Inle Lake with 121 rooms and offers its guests every amenity you could wish for; extensive spa, fitness centre, games and leisure lounge, and two restaurants. Aimed at both business and leisure guests, the feel of this hotel is a little more corporate and has a slightly industrial quality to its architecture. One may think that it looks a little out of place in such a rural surrounding.
The resort stretches far over the lake’s banks, and there are golf buggies on hand 24 hours to take you around the sprawling property should you need it. Rooms vary between suites, which are on the banks of the lake, and villas, which are on stilts over the water. The deluxe rooms, while very comfortable do not offer the best views of the lake and so we recommend staying in one of the villas. Each 112 square metre villa offers a very tranquil environment with separate living area and bedroom, free standing bath and rain shower, and partial views of the lake. The best villas are of course those on the front row, however they do lack privacy, neighbouring the Sunset View Restaurant, which has pride of place in the front row of this resort. The Sunset View Restaurant is the perfect place to cosy up next to the fire pit and savour the unbeatable sunset over this remarkable lake.
