A Gentle Introduction to India: A Short Trip for the Nervous Traveller
9 days from £4,050 for 2024 per person
This perfect short itinerary has been created as a gentle introduction for visitors who might be nervous about taking a holiday to India, or for those who love India but are short of time!
This gentle 9-day itinerary will guide you through some of India's most remarkable highlights, with an authentic first look at the sites, landscapes, people and grandeur of Rajasthan. We're sure that this hugely enjoyable itinerary is the perfect way to see if “Incredible India” is for you or not (and hopefully it will ensure a return visit!).
Taking just 5 days off work, this 8-night holiday showcases India at its very best. From the moment you arrive you will have your own personal air-conditioned car with an English speaking driver, who knows the country like the back of their hand. Your guides will be hand-picked and all services and accommodation will be the finest of their kind. You will also have 24/7 support for complete peace of mind.
In just 8 nights discover some of its most extraordinary Indian palaces, holy temples, and awe inspiring landscapes as well as meeting some of its most heart warming and gracious people. There will be plenty of opportunities to experience a wide range of Indian cuisines and dishes, from mouth watering street food (all carefully vetted) to sophisticated royal delicacies, and to immerse yourself in the sensational colours, sounds and smells like you have never experienced before.
India can be overwhelming especially for first timers, so we have made sure to give you a soft landing, time to relax and soak it in at a gentle pace. If this trip does not make you fall head over heels in love with India, nothing will – this we guarantee.
This itinerary includes some of our very favourite hotels in India together with our favourite sites which include the fairy-tale Taj Lake Palace in the enchanting city of Udaipur, the shimmering white marble Jain Temples in Ranakpur, the imposing Mehrangarh Fort in the blue city of Jodhpur, and a broad range of Rajasthani landscapes. On this occasion we have deliberately omitted Agra, home to the Taj Mahal, as its inclusion involves a lot of extra driving, reducing the amount of leisure time and would expose you to the downside of commercial and crowded mass tourism in India. If at the end of this trip you have fallen in love with India and want to return, we will happily arrange you a visit, but for this gentle introduction, we want to ensure that you experience India at its very best from the moment you land until its time to return home.
