Boutique Rajasthan... Romance, Culture & Heavenly Hotels

18 days from £7,300 for 2023 per person
This itinerary features in our Top Ten Romantic Holidays.
Our Boutique Rajasthan tour is an ideal option if you value intimacy, are interested in days relaxing in the wilderness, wish to visit quaint rural settlements, but still want to take in the most evocative sights of Rajasthan; a holiday for true romantics at heart. Start with the beautiful lake city of Udaipur staying at the privately owned Bujera Fort, followed by the pretty settlement of Narlai where your accommodation is a lovingly resorted 17th Century Country Manor which blends perfectly with the setting. The pomp and majesty of Jodhpur follows where you’ll stay at the luxurious RAAS hotel where the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort takes command of your view up ahead.
The less frequented town of Nagaur is next with the simplistic yet utterly charming Ranvas heritage property which in the 18th century, this was the residence of the sixteen Queens of Maharajah Bakhat Singh of Jodhpur. The property is set within the walls of a 13th century fort and allows you to relax and enjoy sunset cocktails on the ramparts. The impressive fortified desert city of Jaisalmer looms large and here you’ll stay in the beautiful desert camp of SUJÁN The Serai. Spend your days visiting the winding streets in the fort or enjoying time on the surrounding dunes. Mihir Garh follows, home to some of the oldest tribes in India and the stunning Marwari horses which you can ride should you be confident. RAAS Chhatra Sagar, with its stunning lakeside camp is equally memorable with beautiful countryside and birdlife surrounding you. The trip is rounded off with a three night stay in the wonderful Samode Palace located just outside Jaipur. Agra and the Taj Mahal, or even a jaunt to try to spot a tiger in Ranthambore, can easily be added to this tour.
This is purely a suggested itinerary and can be booked as is, or alternatively used as a starting point for creating your own bespoke holiday to India. If you'd like to see similar tours, take a look at our favourite Honeymoons and Epic Journeys, as well as our Family Holidays in Asia collection.
