16 days from £7,730 for 2025 per person
* Visit in November to experience the Pushkar Camel and Cattle Fair - one of India's most vibrant festivals where thousands of Rajasthani villagers congregate to trade and race up to 50,000 camels, horses and donkeys. The fair also comes alive with Rajasthani music and traditional dancers dressed in colourful regional costumes *
This tour of Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan has been put together to represent the kaleidoscopic colours that can be witnessed whilst travelling through the princely state. Start by exploring the capital, Delhi, and its stark juxtaposition from the bustling Chandni Chowk of Old Delhi to the tree-lined avenues around Connaught Place of New Delhi. From here travel to Agra, home of the impressive Taj Mahal. Continue into Rajasthan where the colours begin to jump out from all directions, from the ladies vibrant saris to the cities buildings. Take in the 'pink city' of Jaipur before driving into the countryside to visit the holy town of Pushkar.
Next, drive west to Mihir Garh, a fabulous boutique hotel resembling a Rajasthani fort floating in the middle of the desert, before journeying further west into the Thar Desert to visit Jaisalmer. Return to the 'blue city' of Jodhpur and stroll around the bazaars with their spices, tie-dye fabrics and puppets, and visit the Meherangarh Fort. Before ending your trip in the romantic city of Udaipur stop in stunning Jawai Bandh to experience some of the most incredible landscape that feels anywhere but India. Staying at SUJAN Jawai also presents you with the opportunity for walks through the wilderness with the opportunity to spot a leopard.
