Hilton Niseko
Niseko
The Hilton is Niseko's key ski-in/ski-out hotel and sits in a prime location at the foot of Annapuri mountain. You can quite literally ski right out of the front door to the adjacent gondolas and ski lifts that reach the top of the mountain in just over five minutes. From up here, an array of pistes are available in this resort as are other ski lifts to the surrounding peaks and valleys.
An open fire set in the rich red hue of the lobby creates a cosy and relaxing atmosphere to come back to after a busy day skiing. Not to mention the indoor and outdoor hot spring 'onsen' baths, which provide the ultimate après-ski detox. In our opinion, nothing beats soaking in piping warm water with steam rising up around you in the fresh air to relax your tired muscles after a day on the slopes. What’s more, the outdoor 'onsen' faces directly out onto the snowy scenic vista – bliss.
You will be spoilt for choice for cuisine here as the Hilton Niseko is home to four restaurants – Pirka (serving 'teppanyaki'), where you can watch skilled chefs fry your fine beef and seafood in front of you, Rera (serving sushi), where you can taste fresh sushi within a traditional counter seat setting, Sisam (serving traditional Japanese food), where you can dine on local dishes in a light bright dining room and Melt, Bar and Grill (serving a buffet), where you can enjoy succulent food while looking out onto magnificent views of Mt Yotei. For a drink, enjoy a cocktail in their lounge or, if you’re in need of a livelier atmosphere, Exo bar is a popular spot during the après-ski hours.
The higher room categories offer some of the best panoramic mountain views to be had, particularly of Mt Yotei which is reminiscent of the majestic Mt Fuji in its shape. The interior design is predominately Western in its style, with clear-cut lines and minimalistic design, as is typical of Hilton properties worldwide.
All in all, this is an excellent base for a few on the slopes in Niseko and is especially well suited to families. Not only is it child friendly, but it also provides many useful amenities for a range of ages. Located within the village itself, where most of the English-language restaurants and entertainment spots can be found, the Hilton is one of the top hotels in Niseko.
