Considering it is not a major visitor destination like Kyoto or Hiroshima, the Westin Sendai is a very high standard. It offers great panoramic views of the city, particularly from the Club floors, and rooms are a generous size. Bathrooms are often too compact for our tastes, but here they are relatively spacious. The hotel has some luxury features such as concierge, club lounge and fitness centre (but no pool). It is walking distance from the station and from major shopping malls, making it the ideal base to come back to for creature comforts after doing the various day excursions from Sendai.
