Jim’s Jungle Retreat
Corbett National Park
Corbett Tiger Reserve, established in 1936 by conservationist Jim Corbett as Asia’s first conservation effort, is home to the rustic and wonderfully peaceful Jim’s Jungle Retreat. Corbett Tiger Reserve is a protected forest which extends over 1,300 square kilometres of grassland, forest, rivers and lakes. Nestled within the thick Indian jungle in the Himalayan foothills, this retreat is the perfect location for safari, birding and wildlife lovers who enjoy the little luxury touches which make staying here such an unforgettable experience.
The lodge comprises of three luxurious accommodation categories; the Jungle Lodge, Jungle Cottage and Family Cottage meaning that all groups and families can be catered for with ease. The furniture and interior design is true to its surroundings, visibly making use of the local craftsmanship to achieve a homely and authentic feel. The rooms are most spacious, and the staff at Jim’s Jungle are wonderfully attentive yet discreet, providing guests with the best possible service.
Surrounded by unbeatable forest and mountain vistas, the retreat is best known for its safari itineraries, and countless bird-spotting opportunities and instinct-sharpening walks and safaris are accompanied by the lodge’s qualified and extremely knowledgeable guides. For guests looking for activities beyond safari and wildlife watching, there is a photography workshop, as well as an exciting tree planting project which involves guests directly with the retreat’s admirable devotion towards environmental sustainability.

In the evenings guests can relax in the Gujjar style lounge, where slide shows and topical discussions on wildlife conservation are held.
