Leti
Leti is a small village in Uttarakhand Province, deep within the north-western Himalayas where the glorious boutique hotel Leti 360 is located. It is an hour's walk or a short drive away from the village, which is located around 125 kilometres from Almora (a 5-hour drive), which sits at a height of 2,200 metres. Activities range from trekking these dramatic peaks to gentle guided walks through flower-filled landscapes (October to November is the wild cherry blossom season and December to January is the rhododendron season) stopping at mountain temples, traditional villages and pristine waterfalls for swimming, picnics and river fishing.
The focus is on enjoying the natural beauty, spiritual contemplation and gaining an insight into the rich culture of these local communities. Leti 360 is part of the Shakti group, which was conceived to share the rejuvenating effects of remote surroundings and to provide privileged access to places far removed from the noise and clutter of the modern world. This is a place where space, peace and epic landscapes provoke the imagination and nourish the soul. A place of intense beauty and soothing serenity, encouraging you to slow down for a while and simply be.
I dislike feeling at home when I am abroad.
