Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our site and allows us to improve our website. Cookies contain no personal details about you and they can be disabled by changing your browser preferences. Google Analytics is also used to track website trends without identifying individual visitors. The cookie used by Google Analytics stores information such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before, and what site referred the visitor to Ampersand Travel.

We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data but unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose to our website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Any details that you provide to us from which we can identify you are protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into full effect on 25th May 2018. This framework is designed to protect your data. GDPR requires that information gathering is carried out in a concise, informed and unambiguous way and your consent must be freely given. Our ‘sign-up forms’, both electronic and physical, are designed to ensure the user understands that they are signing up to electronic communications and marketing campaigns from Ampersand Travel. By signing up to the Ampersand Travel database, individuals are agreeing that we have a lawful basis for collecting and processing personal data. Unless otherwise instructed we will hold this information for ten years, at which point you will be contacted to reconfirm your subscription. By the definitions of GDPR Ampersand Travel is the ‘controller’ of your data, the organisation Dotmailer is the ‘processor’ of your data. Subscribers’ personal details will be transferred to Dotmailer, the activities performed by Dotmailer are: data collection through electronic sign up forms, storage of personal data in distribution lists and the transfer of personal data to Dotmailer’s sub-processors, who perform critical support for their services.

GDPR also stipulates you have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes and the individual’s ‘right to be forgotten’. To this end if you do not wish to receive any further emails from us please use the "unsubscribe" link found in all email communications. Alternatively send your unsubscribe request to info@ampersandtravel.com. Please allow a few days for the request to process.
