The Fullerton Bay Hotel
Singapore
The Fullerton Bay Hotel has the most wonderful location in Singapore, right at the heart of the Marina Bay waterfront area – the new up-and-coming epicentre of the city with a variety of great restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Unlike its sister hotel, the Fullerton Hotel, the Fullerton Bay Hotel is a new build property and unashamedly modern and glamorous. The lobby is ultra high-end with floor to ceiling glass windows and public areas designed by Andre Fu.
Set on the edge of the water, the Fullerton Bay Hotel overlooks some of Singapore’s most innovative architecture, including the iconic Marina Bay Sands which looms like a sky-high ship across the bay. There is a 25-metre swimming pool on the rooftop set next to the Lantern Bar, which is a relaxing spot in the day and has a vibrant atmosphere in the evenings, great cocktails and seductive lounging chairs. The hotel has two restaurants – the swish and sexy Clifford, which is a modern French brasserie with sweeping bay views and the less formal Landing Point by the lobby promenade which serves snacks and fusion food.
The hotel has 98 rooms, including six suites. All are exceptionally well-appointed with chic decor and mod cons: flat screen tvs, big desks, sleek bathrooms with separate shower and bath tubs, bespoke artwork and great big glass windows with exhilarating views. There are eight Premier Bay View rooms on the ground floor with outdoor terraces and two with Jacuzzis, but the best views are on higher floors. The 6 suites are worth the splurge and are all named after former Singapore governors and themed on Chinese, Malay, Indian, Peranakan and Colonial décor.
