The Leela Palace
On the confluence of the Bay of Bengal and the Adyar river, The Leela Palace launched in January 2013 and is Chennai's first and only seafront hotel within the city limits. Drawn from the inspiration of Chettinad Dynasty, the architecture of the Palace Hotel exudes the regal and opulent style. From the moment you enter the hotel, you'll feel the warmth of a Leela welcome and be pampered right up until the moment you leave. The lobby area, bar and restaurant are all set in very large, lofty spaces, which have marble flooring and are kept blissfully cool. The hotel makes full use of the hypnotic beach panoramas, which you can gaze at from everywhere. The hotel also boasts the largest entry level rooms in Chennai and all of the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. With an excellent restaurant, Spectra, serving cuisine from all around the world and large rooftop pool this is our absolute favourite hotel in Chennai and our top recommendation for any stay here.
