Located on Suffren Street in the old French town and hidden behind a discreet façade, Villa Shanti is home to 15 charmingly decorated rooms, a restaurant, café bar and library. The hotel fuses traditional materials with modern architecture creating a peaceful property which is also full of character. Bedrooms are built around the inner courtyard of the hotel and while the décor varies in terms of colours and furnishings, they all receive natural light throughout the day.
Decorated with a mixture of muted tones and Indian touches, this colonial home turned hotel provides a calming break from the hot city sun and nearby Pondicherry beach. The café bar offers Indian street snacks and sandwiches while the restaurant focuses on fresh quality produce from small local suppliers, serving multi cuisine dishes and seasonal offerings.
