Ellerton Bungalow deliberately lacks many of the features associated with hotels but these are more than compensated for by a genuinely relaxed and informal atmosphere. It was built for the manager of a large tea estate more than 100 years ago and it retains the character and tranquillity of colonial days. The beautiful garden provides vegetables and fruit for the house. The countryside around Ellerton is crossed by many paths and tea estate roads, making walking and biking easy and delightful.
The Main House has a large sitting room furnished with antiques and a dining room which seats 12. There are also 3 guest bedrooms, two doubles and one twin, all with their own bathrooms. The Valley House is near the swimming pool, and some thirty yards away from the main house. It has spectacular views and has three generous bedrooms, two double and a twin. A great advantage of the Valley House is the huge veranda which is a great place to sit and read. The swimming pool is a wonderful vantage point from which to gaze at the view 20 miles down the valley and is fed directly from their borehole.
