Places of Interest in Sri Lanka
The mango-shaped island of Sri Lanka is ripe for exploration. Tropical white-sand bays line the south coast of the island and inland the cool Tea Country provides opportunities for gentle walks among the verdant hills. Further north, the Cultural Triangle showcases Sri Lanka’s fascinating history with its ancient ruins, ornate cave temples and logic-defying sacred sites. The northeast and northwest coasts are developing into exciting new beach resorts, which means in terms of seasonal weather patterns, you can now have a slice of Sri Lankan sunshine year-round.
