Boundary Restaurant, Rooms and Rooftop
London
Our most easterly outpost, Boundary is cool and contemporary boutique hotel with buckets of originality and style. We recommend Boundary to guests looking to experience East London's edgy vibe, experimental street-art and top-notch cuisine. Set up by Terence Conran, alongside his wife Vicki and with input from Sir David Tang, this pint-size hotel project was always going to be a success. With 3 restaurants and only 17 rooms, Boundary is very much a foodie mecca enjoy breakfast or afternoon coffee and cake at ground-floor British Cafe, Albion, or for more formal dining, and simply beautiful surroundings, try out the signature Boundary Restaurant. A tasteful mishmash of exposed brick, post-modern murals and trompe-l'oeil floor tiles, Boundary is a feast for all the senses. For something very different take the lift all the way up to the rooftop terrace one of the most beautiful in London queues for access in summer can be hours long. An olive tree, fairy-lights, a log fire and soft chairs covered in blankets make this the ultimate city escape. Rooms are all inspired by major names or periods in the art and design world stay in the Andree Putman room, Terence Conran Suite or rooms inspired by Bauhaus, Young British Designers and Charles and Ray Eames. The mezzanine suites are beautiful, filled with light, city views and bursting at the seams with iconic furniture, prints and even art work with huge bathrooms and large living areas.
