Cliveden House
Berkshire
Set in the heart of the Berkshire countryside this stately home sits in 376 acres of magnificent National Trust gardens and parkland with panoramic views over the River Thames.
The recently restored rooms at Cliveden House are adorned with exquisite décor and priceless antiques lending an air of elegance and history to the property. Each room is named after a prominent guest or figure from Cliveden’s past and furnished accordingly with added character creeping in through the use of European fabrics and signature handmade beds.
There are two dining areas: The unashamedly British Andre Garrett at Cliveden serving reworked culinary classics such as fillet of Cumbrian longhorn beef and Dover sole Véronique, while a more informal and relaxed dining experience offering gastro-pub style dishes can be enjoyed in The Astor Grill.
Guests are free to explore the gardens surrounding the house and take advantage of the indoor tennis court and, gym. The Spa and outdoor pool have been newly refurbished and now include a brand new luxury facility. The Cliveden Boathouse on the Thames plays host to a restored flotilla of vintage launches, and a jaunt along the river indulging in a specially prepared afternoon tea or a lazy picnic provides effortless enjoyment.
