Foxhill Manor
The Cotswolds
Foxhill Manor is a private Grade II listed country home in the heart of the beautiful English countryside, located on the Farncome Estate. The Manor itself is something to behold. It was built and designed by architect Joseph Lancaster Ball, one of the leading lights of the Arts & Crafts movement, and has been planned in such a way that ensures that whatever time of day it is, somewhere in the house you will find pools of sunlight to bathe in.
Family run, this hotel will have you instantly feeling at home, with a very relaxed, laid-back and extremely exclusive atmosphere. The hotel comprises of eight spacious and private rooms and suites in total, each one individually designed with a timeless style yet with forward thinking detail. The Manor’s location in its own wooded clearing allow for its uninterrupted views stretching out across the rolling Cotswold countryside.
Dining at Foxhill Manor takes on a home-from-home experience; menus and set meal times have been discarded and replaced by ‘whatever you fancy, whenever you fancy it’. You will be invited to sit in the kitchen with the head chef as he creates a menu with you to your taste, and then you can decide when and where you sit down and enjoy your curated meal. The hotel is also available for exclusive hire for celebrations and weddings.
Foxhill Manor is part of the stunningly beautiful Farncombe Estate, a 400-acre stretch of English countryside, which is also home to the sister hotels, Dormy House and The Fish.
For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.
