Set in 40 acres of mature gardens Marlfield House is one of the finest Regency period houses in Ireland. Located in the heart of County Wexford, on the outskirts of the town of Gorey, the 13 bedrooms and 6 suites are all uniquely decorated, filled with magnificent antiques, paintings and vases of flowers from the beautiful gardens. The house has two fine dining restaurants, focusing on locally-sourced produce, including fruit, vegetables and herbs from Marlfield’s extensive kitchen gardens. High-tea is served daily on the terrace overlooking the manicured gardens, or in the surroundings of the drawing room, and the hotel’s wine cellars offer an extensive list of wonderful wines from all over the world.
The extensive gardens include a rose and kitchen garden, a lake, a croquet lawn and tennis court. Guests can enjoy woodland walks in the surrounding forests, and other activities such as horse-riding, golf, archery can all be arranged close by. The property acts as an excellent base for visiting Kilkenny Castle, Powerscourt House, Glendalough Monastic site and Lake, Enniscorthy and Ferns Castle, The Kennedy Memorial Park, the wonderful garden trails of Wicklow and Wexford and boutique shopping in Gorey town!
