The Fish
The Cotswolds
With 68 Scandi-chic bedrooms, The Fish is a ‘back to nature bolt hole with a touch of luxury’. Good value and a real crowd pleaser, The Fish is unpretentious and welcoming. A buzzy restaurant, bar and games room, open fire and numerous on-site activities The Fish is fun and informal, and suitable for everyone from families to couples.
Nestled into a hillside in the Cotswolds with views across the English countryside, the hotel is just a 20-minute walk across the fields to the picturesque village of Broadway. Our favourite feature of the property are the five Hilly Huts, each with a small terrace and private hot tub. Rustic and romantic, these Shepherds Huts are cosy and private. Each one is equipped with under floor heating, en-suite bathrooms, wood burners and of course their own private hot tubs.
We think this is the perfect casual weekend away, a feel-good vibe and quirky character, The Fish is a well-kept secret of the Cotswolds. The Fish is part of the stunningly beautiful Farncombe Estate, a 400-acre stretch of English countryside, which is also home to the sister hotels, Dormy House and Foxhill Manor.
To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.
