Dublin
UNESCO City of Literature and capital city of Ireland, Dublin is renowned for its rich history of authors from feted James Joyce to Bram Stoker, George Bernard Shaw and Samuel Beckett. Perhaps their literary wit has something to do with the Guinness; this legendary Irish beer has been brewed in the city since 1759 and can be found in any of Dublin’s many pubs! In the centre of the city you’ll find splendid Georgian architecture and shopping opportunities; Grafton Street is sure to have you expending Euros in no time. A ten minute stroll down any of the cobbled streets will bring you to one of Dublin’s many visit-worthy sites; cross over the Ha’penny Bridge or pop-in to Trinity College where you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of famed Book of Kells which dates from 800 AD.

I can't think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything.
