A small town in the Scottish Highlands, FortWilliam is in close proximity to Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles (1,344 metres), making it a good centre for walking and hiking. Although nothing special in itself, the town is surrounded by spectacular scenery. Nearby you’ll find one of Scotland’s most beautiful areas, Glencoe. You will also be near to the GlenfinnanMonument and the striking Glenfinnan Viaduct, the railway that recently found fame due to the Harry Potter films. FortWilliam is just less than 3 hours drive from Glasgow and under 3 hours from Inverness. The town is also a stop on the Caledonian Sleeper train which departs from London.
