Villa Song is a charming boutique getaway prefect for those seeking a quiet sanctuary away from the bustle of the city, but still conveniently close to all the iconic sights and highlights.

About a 30-minute drive from the centre of Saigon city on the banks of the Saigon River, Villa Song is located in the leafy residential neighbourhood of District 2. Whilst the area doesn’t have much to offer in terms of tourist attractions, it is a great spot those interested in restaurants, street food and friendly locals, plus the sense of peace is part of the hotel’s appeal! There is also a regular, complimentary boat shuttle into the centre of the city which takes roughly 15 minutes. Tan Son Nhat International Airport also about ten miles from the property. 

Despite only opening in 2013 (and then renovated at the end of 2016), Villa Song takes inspiration from a grand French colonial design, oozing old-world charm within each of the 23 rooms individually decorated.  From the small Writer’s Room, comprising of a single bed and writing desk, ideal for solo travellers, to the beautifully appointed Imperial Suite with a grand four-poster bed and two balconies, no two rooms are the same. With dark wooden floors running throughout, and colonial style furniture, there is a very peaceful and discreet nature to Villa Song.

There is one all-day dining restaurant, Bistro Song Vie, which serves predominantly Asian cuisine. With an open-air bar and a dining area flanked by an immaculate lawn, with dappled sunlight breaking through the palm trees, it is quite the place to be. There is a large outdoor saltwater swimming pool (the only one in the area) and a small gym overlooks the pool. For those looking to relax and immerse themselves in the calm of the area, there is a spa which has a substantial treatment menu, offering various face and body treatments.
