Jember Fashion (Indonesia): 6th - 9th August 2020
This fashion carnival has become the icon of East Java's contemporary culture. It is a festival to showcase local fashion designers and to put Indonesian fashion on to the world stage. Thousands attend each year to watch models parade down the 3.6km catwalk. Held annually in the month of August, each year the theme changes according to world fashion trend tendencies.

Kerala Boat Race (Alleppey, India): 10th August 2020
Teams of up to a hundred compete in the race to win the coveted Nehru trophy that will bring joy to the winning village for many months to come.

Bali International Kite Festival (Indonesia): 17th August 2020
A competitive kite flying competition from both local and international teams. There is also a religious aspect where the kites are intended to send a message to the Hindu gods for prosperity. Annual event takes place during the months of July and August, notably at the start of the windy season.
Ganesh Chaturthi (India): 22nd August 2020
Ganesha Chaturthi is the day when all Hindus celebrate the birthday of Lord Ganesh. The Festival lasts for 11 days.
