The Garden Route

Magical is almost an understatement when describing this collection of treetop lodges perched in an age-old indigenous forest. The delights begin at the entrance, flanked by water features, leading to a magnificent foyer decorated with Blackwood columns. Natural materials abound, this is a place woven into the landscape and infused with a uniquely African energy.

Ten romantic hide-away suites are tucked into the treetops, each with a deeply comfortable bedroom, sitting room with fireplace, generous bathrooms and, best of all, a private deck with infinity pool that seems to flow into the forest canopy itself. Families or couples travelling together can plump for the high-ceilinged two-bedroom treetop villas.

As to be expected, the views at Tsala Treetop are breathtaking, whether from the exotic dining room, cosy glassed-walled lounge, or large open decks high above the forest floor.

The Garden Route is awash with adventures to be had. Go snorkelling with Africa fur seals or take a cruise through the Knysna Heads on a classic yacht. We love getting a glimpse of Plettenberg Bay’s mountain scenery and dramatic coastline while kayaking through the azure ocean.  A highly-recommended retreat!
